    Description

    SOLD INDIVIDUALLY!  ONLY ONE UNPACKAGED PHOTOTRANSISTOR REMAINING FOR SALE!
    Being sold individually is one (1) Vintage Monsanto MT 2 Silicon Photo Transistor.  These have a metal can and appear to have gold plated terminals (legs).
    The terminals appear clean and unused.  Two of the MT 2s in the photographs were still sealed in the original Monsanto packaging.  Three of the MT 2s (the ones remaining for sale) were with the sealed pair, but were not in the original packaging. See photographs to assess the condition of the phototransistors.  These phototransistors have not been tested.
    The MT 2 phototransistors were acquired at an estate sale of a amateur ratio enthusiast.  They were stored in a parts bin with other radio and some television components.  In attempting to find information regarding these phototransistors, it was noted Monsanto left the LED field in 1979.  It appeared the MT 2s were one of the earliest commercially marketed phototransistors.  These may be the earlier equivalent of NTE 3032 photo-transistors, but I am not sure.
